Page Headings set the structure of your page. Search engines use your Headers (H1, H2, H3...) to understand the how your content is organized and what are the most important parts of the page. When building and defining your page, please keep the following rules in mind:

  • There should never be more than one H1 tag on a page.

  • Headers should follow in order, from top to bottom, H1, H2, H3, etc. You should never have a H2 before a H1 or H3 before a H2.

  • You can have multiple H2 or H3 tags on a page.

A great guide for page headings is also available here.
